The long-range forecasts from NOAA come out of the Climate Prediction Center (CPC). While it’s important to note that long-term climate predictions can be challenging, the CPC also provides accurate short-term forecasts for the upcoming season. According to the CPC, several factors have contributed to the current summer forecast, which predicts above-average temperatures and near-normal precipitation levels for Michigan.
Remember, meteorological summer officially begins on June 1st and ends on August 31st. So, prepare for a summer of outdoor activities and warm weather across the state.
