Sunshine has returned to southern Manitoba on Tuesday after scattered showers and the possibility of thunderstorms yesterday. A ridge of high pressure will ensure that the sun shines over northern regions today. Temperatures are expected to be cooler, and north winds will be gusty for the first couple of hours of Winnipeg’s Whiteout street party tonight before easing up considerably. Those attending the party are advised to dress warmly under their jerseys and costumes despite the sunshine. In northwestern Ontario, a low-pressure system has moved in, bringing rain and snow showers. However, these showers are expected to clear out by this afternoon, making way for sunshine. After today, residents in the south can look forward to a couple of warm April days.
