September 30, 2008:
Soumya Vishwanathan, a 25-year-old journalist, is found murdered in Vasant Vihar, Delhi.
March 23, 2009:
Ravi Kapoor, Amit Shukla, and Baljeet Malik are arrested in connection with the murder of IT professional Jigisha Ghosh.
May 2009:
The police arrest Ajay Kumar and Ajay Sethi in connection with the Vishwanathan murder case.
June 2009:
The Delhi police file the first chargesheet in the case, alleging that robbery was the motive for the attack.
October 2009:
Charges under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) are leveled against the convicts.
February 2019:
The Delhi High Court directs the lower court to expedite the trial and order it to hear the case at least twice every week.
November 25, 2023:
