Suspect in Fake NCC Camp Sexual Assault Case Dies by Suicide

The prime accused in the sexual assault case of a school girl at a fake NCC camp in Tamil Nadu’s Bargur has reportedly died by suicide. According to a police official, Sivaraman, the primary suspect, consumed rat poison on August 19th, ahead of his scheduled arrest. He was subsequently admitted to the Government Medical College hospital in Krishnagiri, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Sivaraman’s death follows the arrests of 11 individuals, including school authorities, who were apprehended by the Bargur All Women police for their involvement in organizing the fraudulent NCC camp. The case has sparked outrage and raised concerns about the safety and security of children attending such camps.

The police investigation into the sexual assault case and the circumstances surrounding Sivaraman’s death are ongoing.
