Sivaraman, the primary suspect in the case of the rape and sexual harassment of several schoolgirls at a fake NCC camp in Krishnagiri, passed away early Friday morning. His death comes after a suspected suicide attempt involving the consumption of rat poison.
Sivaraman had been admitted to the Salem Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College and Hospital on Wednesday night for treatment after claiming to have ingested rat poison. According to Krishnagiri district SP P Thangadurai, Sivaraman consumed the poison on the 16th and 18th, potentially in anticipation of his arrest.
This incident has sparked outrage and renewed calls for justice for the victims. The investigation into the fake NCC camp and the crimes committed there continues, with authorities now focused on identifying any potential accomplices or individuals involved in enabling Sivaraman’s actions.
