President Droupadi Murmu will address the joint sitting of Parliament for the first time since the formation of the 18th Lok Sabha. This marks the third term for the NDA government. The session will also see the motion of thanks being moved in both Houses after the Presidential address. The first session of the 18th Lok Sabha began on Monday, and the Rajya Sabha session will commence today. Om Birla was re-elected as the Lok Sabha Speaker for the second time, while Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition, expressed the importance of allowing the opposition’s voice to be heard in the House. The session also marks the 49th anniversary of the imposition of the Emergency in India.
