While ‘300: Rise of an Empire’ might not be as critically acclaimed as its predecessor, it features an underrated action star, a phenomenal performance by Eva Green, incredible action sequences, and a satisfying conclusion that ties in perfectly with the original story. Now available on Netflix, this movie is worth revisiting for its compelling characters and action-packed thrills.
Warner Bros. Television is developing a prequel TV series based on the 2006 film ‘300.’ The show is in the early stages of development, and no writer, streamer, or network is currently attached. Zack Snyder, who directed and co-wrote the original film, is in talks to direct and executive produce the series. Deborah Snyder and Wesley Coller would also return as executive producers. Based on the graphic novel series by Frank Miller and Lynn Varley, ‘300’ depicts a fictionalized version of the Battle of Thermopylae. The film starred Gerard Butler as King Leonidas, who led 300 Spartan soldiers into battle against King Xerxes of Persia and his 300,000 soldiers. A sequel, ‘300: Rise of an Empire,’ was released in 2014.
