Delhi CM Aide Bibhav Kumar Remanded to Judicial Custody in Assault on AAP MP Swati Maliwal Case

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s aide Bibhav Kumar has been remanded to 14-day judicial custody in connection with the alleged assault on AAP MP Swati Maliwal. The incident reportedly took place on May 13 at CM Kejriwal’s residence. Kumar was arrested on May 18 and was produced before the Tis Hazari court on Friday after his three-day police custody ended. Additional Public Prosecutor sought judicial custody for Kumar to ensure proper investigation and prevent him from tampering with evidence. Defense counsel opposed the judicial custody plea, arguing that Kumar cannot interfere with the investigation or tamper with evidence. The case is scheduled for further hearing on June 14.
