Yankees manager Aaron Boone was ejected from Monday’s game against the Athletics just two batters into the contest. The incident occurred after home plate umpire Hunter Wendelstedt turned to the Yankees dugout and ejected Boone without warning. Wendelstedt then turned to Boone and said, “You got anything else to say, you’re gone.” Boone stayed quiet, but just seconds later, Wendelstedt turned again and said, “Aaron, you’re done.” Boone quickly jumped out of the dugout and pointed to the stands behind to indicate that whatever Wendelstedt had heard had come from there and not him.
