Aaron Carter’s Family Releases Posthumous Music, Benefiting Mental Health and Son’s Trust

Aaron Carter’s family is honoring the late musician’s legacy with the release of previously unrecorded music. The single “Recovery,” featuring Carter’s lyrics about finding optimism amidst struggles, is the first track from the upcoming album “The Recovery Album,” due out on May 24. A portion of the proceeds will benefit On Our Sleeves, a mental health nonprofit, and a trust fund for Carter’s son, Prince Lyric Carter. The release coincides with Investigation Discovery’s four-part series “Fallen Idols: Nick and Aaron Carter,” which explores the sexual assault allegations against Nick Carter and Aaron’s struggles with mental health and substance abuse.

Fallen Idols: Nick and Aaron Carter Docuseries Set for May Premiere

Investigation Discovery and Max are set to premiere a four-part docuseries titled ‘Fallen Idols: Nick and Aaron Carter’ on Monday, May 27, and Tuesday, May 28 at 9:00 p.m. ET. The docuseries will delve into the controversial lives and strained relationship of pop star siblings Nick and Aaron Carter, who both enjoyed immense fame in the late ’90s and beyond. The project will specifically explore the sexual assault accusations and lawsuits against Nick Carter, as well as the substance abuse and mental health struggles faced by Aaron Carter. Key interviewees include Nick Carter’s accusers Melissa Schuman, Ashley Repp, and Shay Ruth, as well as Aaron Carter’s former fiancé Melanie Martin and Nick Carter’s ex-girlfriend Kaya Jones. ‘Fallen Idols’ will also examine the darker sides of fame and the challenges of seeking justice in the age of celebrity culture.

Aaron Carter’s Previously Unheard Music to Be Released by His Sister

Nearly two years after the tragic loss of Aaron Carter, his twin sister, Angel Carter Conrad, is sharing the music he was working on at the time of his passing. The collection, titled “Blacklisted,” will feature previously unheard songs and arrive on May 24th. Angel and Aaron’s producer, Jeff Pearce, collaborated on the album, which had been in the works for over a decade before Aaron’s untimely demise in 2022 due to mental health and addiction issues. A portion of the album’s proceeds will benefit The Kids’ Mental Health nonprofit, formerly known as On Our Sleeves, and a trust for Aaron’s two-year-old son, Prince.
