Patanjali Slapped by Supreme Court for Misleading Ads, Apology Deemed Insufficient

The Supreme Court has taken a stern stance against Patanjali, slamming its founders Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna for their misleading advertisements. Despite Ramdev’s previous apologies, the court deemed them insufficient and rebuked both the state of Uttarakhand and the central government for their inaction. The court also criticized Patanjali’s printed apologies in 67 publications, deeming them too small and ineffective. Additionally, the court raised concerns about other FMCGs running misleading ads that target babies, children, and the elderly.
