GoPro has announced the signing of eight young athletes to its elite team through the Grom Quest Challenge. The athletes, ranging from 9 to 17 years old, were selected based on their impressive video submissions showcasing their skills in various action sports. The challenge, which is ongoing, is open to athletes worldwide aged 17 and under, and participants can submit their clips via the GoPro Quik app. The signed athletes will receive monetary and equipment sponsorship from GoPro, as well as opportunities for mentorship and exposure on GoPro’s social channels.

Arisa Trew, a 14-year-old skateboarding sensation from Australia, has become the sole Australian to be honored at the Laureus Awards, the world’s biggest sports awards gala.
