XPeng Aeroht, the flying car division of XPeng Inc., has unveiled its modular flying car, the Land Aircraft Carrier, along with plans for mass production and pricing. The company aims to start production in 2026 with a price tag of up to RMB2 million yuan ($280,000). This comes with an updated production schedule, pushing back the initial timeline.
Xpeng’s subsidiary, AeroHT, achieved a significant milestone with the maiden flight of its flying car, the X2, in Beijing. This event highlights China’s burgeoning low-altitude economy, supported by government policies and fueled by growing demand for advanced transportation solutions. While challenges remain, the future of flying cars in China seems bright, with AeroHT aiming for commercial launch later this year.
