BrahMos Aerospace, the Indo-Russian joint venture producing the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile, has announced a policy to reserve job vacancies for Agniveers, the recruits under the Indian government’s Agnipath scheme. This initiative will provide opportunities in technical, administrative, and security roles across the company’s facilities in India, recognizing the valuable skills and discipline these young veterans bring to the workforce.
The Central government has announced a 10% reservation for former Agniveers in vacancies for the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). This comes amid ongoing protests against the Agnipath scheme, with the Congress party demanding a ‘white paper’ on the scheme and criticizing the government’s handling of the compensation issue for slain Agniveers.
