EACON Mining has achieved another milestone in opencast coal mining by deploying a fully operational autonomous fleet in just 17 days at the Shitoumei coal mine. The project showcases EACON’s expertise in AHS solutions, featuring 23 autonomous mining trucks organized into three shovel truck fleets. These fleets include 13 hybrid EL100 trucks and 10 diesel-powered trucks. All trucks were equipped with EACON’s drive-by-wire systems and ORCASTRATM Pilot autonomous driving system. EACON’s turnkey AHS solution ensures rapid deployment, allowing the autonomous fleet to be fully operational within a remarkably short timeframe. The successful deployment demonstrates EACON’s commitment to providing advanced autonomous transportation solutions and zero-emission truck technology for the mining industry.
