ASUS has joined the Thunderbolt 5 add-in card (AIC) party with the release of its ASUS ThunderboltEX 5 AIC. The new card features a single 6-pin PCIe power connector, USB-PD support, and uses the same Intel JHL9580 Thunderbolt 5 controller as GIGABYTE’s offering. The card supports up to 3 x DisplayPort 2.1-based 8K monitors and comes with a host of ports and adapters, but only works with Windows 11.
