India’s Reetika Hooda Falls Short in Quarterfinals at Paris 2024 Olympics

Indian wrestler Reetika Hooda narrowly lost to top-seeded Aiperi Medet Kyzy of Kyrgyzstan in the quarterfinal of the women’s 76kg freestyle wrestling event at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Despite the loss, Hooda still has a chance for bronze through the repechage round. Earlier in the tournament, she had a strong start with a technical superiority win over Hungary’s Bernadett Nagy. Hooda’s journey to the Olympics includes a U-23 World Championship gold and several other impressive achievements.
