The A220, with its comfortable cabin, reduced operating costs, and environmental benefits, is ideal for the 100-150 seat market. The aircraft offers a 25% reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions per seat, and a 50% reduction in noise pollution compared to previous models. The A220 is equipped to operate with Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and is expected to be fully SAF compatible by 2030. Breeze Airways has 23 A220s in service, with an additional 10 on order, and plans to transition to an all-A220 fleet by the end of 2024. The A220, with over 330 delivered to 20 airlines, has proven its versatility and popularity in the aviation industry.
TrueNoord, a regional aircraft lessor, has secured an additional eight aircraft from Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC). This acquisition adds one Dash 8-400 and seven E190s to TrueNoord’s existing fleet, bringing the total to 94 aircraft. The distribution of these aircraft across the USA, Europe, and Australia enhances TrueNoord’s global presence and reinforces its portfolio of turboprop and regional jets. Integration of the eight aircraft into TrueNoord’s fleet is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2024.
