Thailand Looks to Bring Formula One Race to Bangkok

Thailand’s Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin has met with Formula One boss Stefano Domenicali to discuss the possibility of hosting a Formula One Grand Prix in Bangkok. While no concrete plans or timelines have been announced, Thai officials expressed their vision for a street circuit race potentially centered around the city’s historic center. The government believes an F1 race would boost Thailand’s profile and tourism industry, while Formula One is eager to add more street races to its calendar. Alex Albon, a Thai driver currently competing in Formula One, would undoubtedly draw significant local interest in the event, should it come to fruition.
