Senior leaders from the INDIA bloc, including Congress, Samajwadi Party, CPI-M, and others, gathered in New Delhi on June 1 to strategize for the vote counting scheduled on June 4. The meeting was held amid ongoing elections in the last phase of the Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee alleged that the BJP is devising a strategy of deception to secure victory in the Lok Sabha elections. She criticized the party’s national leaders for allegedly plundering the country while blaming Bengal to conceal their misdeeds. Banerjee further accused the BJP of spreading false narratives about Sandeshkhali, disrespecting Bengali women, and withholding funds from Bengal’s needy population.
