Former Washington Police Officer Found with Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound, Son Safe

A former Washington police officer, Elias Huizar, who was wanted in connection with two killings, was found in Oregon with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. His 1-year-old son was found safe with him. Huizar was believed to be heading to Mexico with his son after allegedly killing his ex-wife and another woman, his girlfriend, in West Richland, Washington. Oregon State Police located Huizar driving south on Interstate 5 near Eugene and pursued him. He was found shot in the head, and his condition is currently unknown. The boy was taken into protective custody.

Yakima Murder Suspect Spotted at North Portland Plaid Pantry

Elias Huizar, a 39-year-old Yakima man wanted for murder and kidnapping, has reportedly been spotted at a Plaid Pantry convenience store in North Portland, Oregon. The sighting occurred at approximately 12:40 a.m. on Tuesday morning, according to Plaid Pantry CEO Jonathan Polonsky, who reviewed security camera footage. Huizar is suspected of killing a woman at Willam Wiley Elementary School in Washington on Monday afternoon and kidnapping his 1-year-old son, Roman. Another woman, believed to be Huizar’s ex-wife, was found dead at his home. Police believe Huizar may be attempting to flee to Mexico. Roman Huizar is described as 2 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 25 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. Elias Huizar is 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 170 pounds, and also has brown hair and eyes. Anyone with information about their whereabouts is urged to contact 911 immediately.
