American Airlines Chief Commercial Officer Vasu Raja to Depart in June

American Airlines and The Landline Company Launch Luxury Motorcoach Service Connecting ILG and PHL

American Airlines and The Landline Company are launching a luxury motorcoach service connecting Wilmington Airport (ILG) and Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) starting October 7, 2024. The service will provide passengers with a seamless travel experience, allowing them to complete security procedures and check their luggage at ILG before boarding a deluxe motorcoach that will take them to PHL. Passengers can then disembark at a secure gate at Terminal F at PHL, making it easy to connect to flights within American’s extensive global network. The motorcoaches will feature premium amenities such as plush leather seats, complimentary WiFi, and in-seat power, providing passengers with a first-class travel experience. Passengers can also accrue and redeem AAdvantage® miles through these Landline connections.

American Airlines Expands Service to Anguilla with New Saturday Flight from Miami

American Airlines is expanding its service to Anguilla this winter with an additional third nonstop flight from Miami (MIA) to Anguilla (AXA) starting in December 2024. The new flight will be available on Saturdays in addition to the existing two daily flights, and will continue through March 2025. Anguilla is a popular tourist destination in the Caribbean, and the increased airlift will help to meet the growing demand for travel to the island nation.

American Airlines sponsored six teams of aviation maintenance technicians (AMTs) at the annual Aerospace Maintenance Council Competition, where Team Tulsa emerged victorious in the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul / Original Equipment Manufacturer category, along with winning multiple individual events. The airline also backed three student teams, who benefited from mentorship and gained valuable hands-on experience. American offers interviews and scholarship opportunities to students who participate in these teams upon graduation.
