A 20-year-old Indian medical student, Dasari Chandu, has sadly passed away after becoming trapped in a frozen waterfall in Kyrgyzstan. The incident occurred on Sunday with four other Andhra Pradesh students present. Dasari, a second-year medical student from Anakapalle in Visakhapatnam, was accidentally entrapped in the ice, leading to his untimely demise. His father, who owns a confectionery shop, is devastated by this tragic loss.
A newlywed bride in Andhra Pradesh’s East Godavari district was kidnapped by her family members, who attacked the groom and his relatives with chili powder. The incident occurred during a formal ceremony in Kadiam village, leading to criminal charges against the bride’s family. TDP supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh has declared his family assets worth nearly ₹542.7 crore. Lokesh is contesting the assembly election from the Mangalagiri segment in Andhra Pradesh. He had declared ₹373.63 crore as his family assets in the 2019 assembly polls.
Lokesh holds over one crore shares of Heritage Foods Ltd, floated by his family, worth ₹339.11 crore. His wife, Nara Brahmani, is currently the Executive Director of Heritage Foods. According to the affidavit, Lokesh holds ₹314.68 crore worth of movable assets and ₹92.31 crore worth of immovable assets, while his wife has ₹45.06 crore and ₹35.59 crore assets, respectively.

A 20-year-old Telugu student studying medicine in Kyrgyzstan drowned in a waterfall on April 22. Dasari Chandu had gone to the waterfall with four other students after completing their exams. His body was later recovered from the site.
Andhra Pradesh has announced the results of the SSC Public Examination-2024, with a pass percentage of 86.69%. The Parvathipuram-Manyam district recorded the highest pass percentage of 96.37%, while 2,803 schools in the state achieved 100% results. Girls outperformed boys in the examinations, with a pass percentage of 89.17% compared to boys’ 84.32%. Andhra Pradesh Residential Schools and A.P. BC Welfare institutions achieved an impressive 98.43% result.
