Royal Dresser Angela Kelly Gifted a £465,000 Bungalow in the Peak District

Angela Kelly, the former personal dresser to the late Queen Elizabeth II, has been gifted a three-bedroom bungalow in the Peak District. The property, worth £465,000, was a gift from the Royal Family as part of a lifetime accommodation arrangement. However, despite its generous size, the bungalow is said to be a far cry from Kelly’s former Grade II-listed cottage on the Windsor estate. The move came after Kelly was asked to leave her Windsor residence following the Queen’s passing in 2022. King Charles, honoring his mother’s wish, provided Kelly with alternative accommodation. Kelly, known for her close working relationship with the Queen, has published two approved books about her time working with the monarch. The bungalow is reportedly part of a non-disclosure agreement, preventing Kelly from sharing royal secrets or using the palace name for commercial gain.

Maureen Lipman Recalls the Late Queen’s Visit to Corrie Set

Maureen Lipman revealed that Queen Elizabeth II’s close confidante, Angela Kelly, was a huge fan of the ITV soap opera Coronation Street. The monarch visited the set in 2021, walking down Weatherfield’s famous cobbled streets and meeting the cast and crew members. Kelly, who had been the Queen’s Personal Assistant and Senior Dresser for almost 30 years, is said to have been instrumental in arranging the visit.
