Leah O’Connor received an 18-month suspended sentence and a lifetime ban on keeping animals for abandoning two dogs in a house in February 2023. One of the dogs, a Rottweiler puppy named Rox, was found dead in a cage without food or water. The other dog, a bulldog named Doris, was found barely alive and later passed away. The RSPCA officer who investigated the case described the conditions in the house as appalling and heartbreaking.
