The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has expelled popular Bhojpuri film star and singer Pawan Singh from the party for ‘anti-party activities’ and ‘maligning the image of the party’. Singh had recently joined the BJP but decided to contest the Lok Sabha election as an independent candidate from Karakat constituency, going against the party’s official candidate Upendra Kushwaha of the Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) alliance.

The Gujarat BJP has appointed Kishansinh Solanki as the co-convener of its overseas department. Solanki’s appointment marks his honorable return to the party after being suspended in 2022 for alleged anti-party activities. His suspension was recently revoked, paving the way for his comeback.
