US Builds Up Anti-Ship Arsenal to Counter China in Indo-Pacific

The US is building a massive stockpile of affordable and easily produced anti-ship weapons to deter China in the Indo-Pacific region. This strategy, dubbed “affordable mass,” aims to overwhelm Chinese defenses by flooding the area with cheap, effective weapons, like the QUICKSINK bomb, and leverage existing stockpiles of JDAMs and Tomahawks. This move comes as a response to China’s rapid modernization of its navy and its ambition to control the South China Sea.
