LuminoCity Festival has announced the closing of submissions for the third annual “Lumi’s Utopia” children’s drawing competition, which received a wide range of imaginative artwork inspired by the theme “Sweet Dreams”. The competition featured both online submissions and in-person workshops at the Long Island Children’s Museum (LICM), which provided participants with lantern-making lessons. The festival’s founder, Xiaoyi Chen, expressed excitement about the collaboration with LICM and the prospect of transforming the drawings into life-size light sculptures. LICM President Erika Floreska emphasized the competition’s role in nurturing young artists and fostering family engagement. Additionally, LuminoCity Festival has launched a new website offering enhanced user experience and information about events and ways to get involved.
