Delhi High Court Orders Kejriwal’s Wife to Remove Court Hearing Video

The Delhi High Court has instructed Mrs. Sunita Kejriwal, the wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, to remove a video recording of a court hearing in the excise policy case from all social media platforms. This directive was issued in response to a plea filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which sought the removal of the video, claiming that it violated the privacy of individuals involved in the case.

Delhi HC to Hear Plea Against Kejriwal’s Wife for Alleged Rule Violation

The Delhi High Court will conduct a hearing on a plea against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s wife, Sunita Kejriwal, and others on Saturday. The plea accuses them of violating Delhi HC Video Conferencing Rules by illegally recording and sharing proceedings of a trial court appearance involving the Delhi CM. According to the plea, the defendants unlawfully recorded and distributed the proceedings on social media, initiating a widespread conspiracy to damage the reputation of the judiciary and mislead the public through claims of government influence.

Arvind Kejriwal’s Bail Plea Dismissed; Judicial Custody Extended in Excise Policy Case

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s interim bail plea seeking seven days of medical leave in the ongoing Excise Policy money laundering case has been dismissed by the Rouse Avenue Court. The court has ordered authorities to conduct necessary medical tests. Meanwhile, Kejriwal’s judicial custody has been extended till June 19. The Rouse Avenue Court also extended the judicial custody of AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal till June 19.

Kejriwal Returns to Tihar Jail after 21 Days of Campaigning

On Sunday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal addressed Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers before surrendering at Tihar jail. Kejriwal stated that he was not going to jail because of corruption but because he had spoken out against dictatorship. He had been granted 21 days of interim bail by the Supreme Court to campaign for the Lok Sabha elections, and his surrender date was June 2.
