On Tuesday, Shawn Connolly, 37, of Asbury Park, was sentenced to 40 years in state prison for breaking into an Asbury Park home, robbing a couple at knifepoint, and sexually assaulting a woman on September 14, 2021. Connolly, convicted by a jury in September 2022, was found guilty of aggravated sexual assault, armed robbery, burglary, and other offenses.
Guy Fieri, the renowned chef and television personality, will be making an appearance in Monmouth County, New Jersey, to promote his tequila brand, Santo Tequila. The chef will be visiting Low Dive bar and restaurant in Asbury Park on May 3, and the Wine Outlet in Wall on May 4, for meet-and-greets, bottle signings, and cocktail demonstrations. Santo Tequila is double-distilled in copper pots and rested in American white oak barrels, resulting in a pure agave flavor.
