Indian athletes performed exceptionally at the Asian Under-20 Athletics Championships in Dubai, securing a gold and silver medal in the men’s javelin throw and a silver medal in the men’s discus throw. Deepanshu Sharma claimed the gold with a throw of 70.29m, while Rohan Yadav earned the silver with 70.03m. In the men’s 1500m, Priyanshu narrowly missed out on a gold, finishing with a silver after being edged out by Qatar’s Aitoulghazi. Ritik added another silver to India’s tally in the men’s discus throw, while Prachi Ankush Devkar finished fourth in the women’s 3000m. Laxita Vinod Sandliea and Tanvi Malik advanced to the women’s 800m final, while Anushka Dattatray Kumbhar and Sai Sangeetha Dodla competed in the women’s 400m medal round. Male quartermiler Aman Choudhary also qualified for the final, despite being initially listed only for the 4x400m relay.
