Delhi Minister Atishi has dismissed Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal’s allegations of assault against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s personal assistant Bibhav Kumar, terming them ‘baseless.’ A CCTV footage showing Maliwal engaged in a heated argument with staff at Kejriwal’s residence on May 13 has emerged. Maliwal has alleged assault by Kumar, while the AAP has claimed that she did not have an appointment to meet Kejriwal. Delhi Police have arrested Kumar and are investigating the incident. The AAP is scheduled to hold a press conference to address the matter shortly.

The incident came to light after Maliwal called the police from Kejriwal’s residence to report the assault allegedly committed by his personal secretary, Bibhav Kumar. Investigations are ongoing, and Kumar is scheduled to appear before the court on May 17, 2024.
