Andhra Pradesh voters will cast their ballots today in simultaneous elections for the 175-member Assembly and 25 Lok Sabha seats. Incumbent Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy (YSRCP) and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu (TDP) are among the prominent candidates vying for the Assembly. The YSRCP is contesting in all 175 Assembly seats and 25 Lok Sabha segments, while the TDP has been allocated 144 Assembly and 17 Lok Sabha constituencies in an alliance with the BJP and Jana Sena Party (JSP). Polling will commence at 7 a.m. and continue until 6 p.m. in normal areas, with varying closing times in sensitive areas. The police have imposed restrictions within a 100-meter radius of polling stations and enforced section 144 under the CrPC across the state.
