Woodside Energy Group Ltd’s shares are trading higher after the Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF) withdrew its legal challenge to the Scarborough Energy Project. The ACF, represented by the Environmental Defenders Office, commenced Federal Court of Australia proceedings in June 2022 but has now agreed to dismiss the case. The Scarborough Energy Project, which includes the Scarborough Joint Venture and Pluto Train expansions, is expected to be 67% complete by June 2024 and is slated to begin LNG production in 2026.
