A recent autopsy report has revealed that Renuka Swamy, the victim allegedly tortured and killed by popular Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, died from shock and hemorrhage. Swamy’s body was found with 15 wounds, and the autopsy indicated that his head rammed a mini truck in a shed in Bengaluru, where he was brought from Chitradurga. The police have seized the vehicle and recovered wooden logs, a leather belt, and a rope used to torture Swamy. Thoogudeepa has been arrested along with 12 of his close associates for the murder, and the investigation is ongoing.

John Barnett, a former Boeing employee who filed a whistleblower report alleging safety issues, was found dead in his truck on March 9, 2024. The autopsy report released on Friday determined the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the head and the manner of death as ‘suicide’ due to the presence of a ‘suicide note’ in the vehicle. Police are still investigating Barnett’s death, but the autopsy report suggests he was experiencing personal distress and had a history of mental health issues.
