Kashmir’s key roads, including the Mughal road and Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri road, continue to be closed due to incessant rainfall, causing travel disruptions and a drop in temperatures. An avalanche warning has been issued for four districts, urging caution in avalanche-prone areas. The wet weather conditions are expected to persist over the next few days, with forecasts indicating overcast skies, intermittent rain and snow, and possible isolated heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, hail, and strong winds. The meteorological office recommends pausing agricultural activities until the end of April and warns of potential traffic interruptions over higher passes and possible waterlogging and landslides in low-lying areas.
