Q1 2024: Avinor Reports Revenue Growth and Operational Resilience

Avinor, the Norwegian airport operator, has reported a strong start to 2024 with increased revenue and passenger traffic. Despite challenging winter conditions, Avinor’s airports served over 10.8 million passengers in the first quarter, a rise of 3.5% compared to 2023. International traffic surged by 11.1%, while domestic travel saw a modest decline of 0.7%. The company’s operational efficiency and cost optimization measures have contributed to a rise in the passenger load factor per flight, leading to increased profitability. Avinor’s total operating revenue for Q1 2024 reached NOK 2,507 million, representing a 2.1% increase from the same period in 2023. The company anticipates further revenue growth in the coming quarters, fueled by increased traffic and commercial activities.
