Balibo, an Australian war movie directed by Robert Connolly, depicts the tragic fate of the Balibo Five journalists who were killed while reporting on Indonesia’s invasion of East Timor in 1975. The film follows reporter Roger East (Anthony LaPaglia) as he investigates the journalists’ disappearance and befriends José Ramos-Horta (Oscar Isaac), who later becomes President of East Timor.
