Prevent Weevils from Invading Your Grains

Weevils, tiny insects that commonly infest grains, can wreak havoc in your pantry. Their presence not only contaminates your food but also poses health risks. To prevent these pests, it’s crucial to store your grains properly. Keep them in airtight containers, preferably made of glass, as weevils can chew through plastic bags and cardboard. Bay leaves have been traditionally used as a natural weevil repellent. Place one or two leaves in your flour, rice, or oats and seal the container tightly. You can also tape the leaves to the inside or outside of the containers for added protection.
