How to Find and Catch Wiglett in Pokémon Go: Biome Update Guide

Wiglett, the water-type Pokémon resembling a wiggly worm, has made its debut in Pokémon Go as part of the recent biome update. While initially thought to be a regional form of Diglett, it has been confirmed that Wiglett is a unique species. Finding this elusive Pokémon requires understanding where it spawns, which can be a bit tricky due to the new biome categories. Players have reported Wiglett spawning in beach biomes, but it’s speculated that it may also appear near any body of water. To increase your chances of encountering Wiglett, check your radar near lakes, rivers, or beaches with a beachy aesthetic. Its long silhouette and distinctive wiggle make it easy to spot among other unseen Pokémon.

Wiglett Makes Its Way to Pokémon GO

Wiglett, the Garden Eel Pokémon first introduced in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, is now available in Pokémon GO during the Rediscover Kanto event. Players can encounter Wiglett in the beach biome along with other water-type Pokémon. While the method to evolve Wiglett into Wugtrio is yet to be determined, it is expected to follow a similar evolution method to Diglett, which evolves into Dugtrio after being fed 50 Candy. The Shiny version of Wiglett is not expected to be available during its initial release.
