Agoda, a leading digital travel platform, has unveiled Asia’s top beach destinations in anticipation of International Beach Day on September 1st. Based on accommodation searches, Bali takes the lead, followed closely by Okinawa and Da Nang. This list offers a diverse range of beach experiences, from serene retreats to vibrant nightlife, with Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines particularly popular for beach lovers.
Bali has been crowned Asia’s top beach destination by Agoda, based on accommodation searches for September and October. The Indonesian island saw an 11% surge in searches compared to last year, outpacing other popular destinations like Okinawa (Japan) and Da Nang (Vietnam). The rankings highlight the diverse range of beach experiences available across Asia, with Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines boasting multiple entries in the top ten.
The Marianas Visitors Authority (MVA) showcased the islands’ unique charm and cultural heritage at the recent Seoul International Travel Fair, earning the prestigious “Most Popular Booth” award. With a nature-themed booth adorned with the iconic Chamorro latte stones and Managaha island backdrop, the MVA captivated visitors with captivating traditional dance performances that highlighted the Marianas’ rich Chamorro and Carolinian culture.
