Former Police Officer’s Lawyer Hints at Defensible Charges in Double Murder Case

The lawyer for Beau Lamarre-Condon, a former NSW Police officer charged with murdering Jesse Baird and Luke Davies, has suggested that the charges may be defensible. Lamarre-Condon is accused of using his police-issued pistol to shoot Baird and Davies at Baird’s home in February. Despite refusing to reveal the location of the bodies for several days after his arrest, Lamarre-Condon later cooperated with investigators, leading to the discovery of the victims in surfboard bags near Bungonia. The lawyer, John Walford, stated that he had received only part of the police evidence and declined to provide details on how he would defend his client, hinting that mental health issues may be involved. The case is scheduled for further proceedings in June.
