Heavy Rain Disrupts Bengaluru Airport Operations, Diverts 11 Flights

Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport faced significant disruptions on May 12 due to heavy rainfall and lightning, leading to the diversion of nine flights. International flights from Bangkok, Paris, and Amsterdam were among those affected. Domestic flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, and Guwahati were also diverted. Operations resumed post-midnight as weather conditions improved. Traffic police reported waterlogging in parts of the city, including Bilekahalli and Roopena Agrahara.
