The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced the impending opening of a crucial 71-kilometer section of the Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway traversing Karnataka, expected to be operational by the end of November 2024. This significant development will shorten the travel time between the two major cities, bringing Bengaluru and Chennai closer than ever before.

The 262-km Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway (BCE) is nearing completion, promising to significantly reduce travel time between the two cities. The expressway will cut down the travel time to just 2-2.5 hours, compared to the current 7-8 hours. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to inaugurate the expressway before December 2024.
