Patricia Homonylo, a Canadian photographer, has been awarded the prestigious Bird Photographer of the Year 2024 award for her powerful image, ‘When Worlds Collide,’ which captures the tragic reality of bird deaths due to window collisions in urban environments. The competition, which received over 23,000 entries from around the world, also saw a 14-year-old, Andrés Luis Domínguez Blanco, win the Young Bird Photographer of the Year award.
