On Monday evening, a tragic incident occurred near Mumbai when at least 36 flamingos lost their lives after colliding with an Emirates flight. The Emirates flight, EK508, landed safely at Mumbai Airport despite the bird strike. Authorities recovered 29 flamingo bodies on Monday night and four to five more on Tuesday morning. The incident prompted the cancellation of the return flight, EK509, to Dubai, scheduled for May 20.
