Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has dismissed the BJP’s claims that the Congress government will discontinue its guarantee schemes after the Lok Sabha elections. He affirmed that all five schemes will remain in place, despite the BJP’s allegations. Siddaramaiah highlighted the government’s allocation of funds for these schemes and refuted the claim that the state has faced economic bankruptcy due to their implementation. He accused the BJP of spreading lies and fabricating a ‘factory of lies.’ Furthermore, Siddaramaiah criticized the BJP-led Union government for denying Karnataka its rightful drought relief, despite the state’s severe drought conditions. He detailed the efforts made by the state government to seek relief, including sending a letter to the Union government and meeting with Union Home Minister. Despite these efforts, the BJP government has not released the relief amount, prompting the state to file a legal case.
