Traditionally, Black voters have been a crucial base for the Democratic Party, while evangelicals have formed the backbone of the Republican base. However, recent polls suggest a shift in both of these voter blocks. While it’s unclear whether a significant number of Black voters have abandoned the Democrats, there is evidence that Democrats are struggling to maintain their support among this demographic. Similarly, Trump’s stance on abortion has alienated some evangelicals, leading to a decline in their support for the Republican Party. As the number of church-going Americans decreases and more factions emerge within religious groups, the reliability of both the Black vote and the evangelical bloc is becoming less certain.
