Mumbai’s civic body has taken proactive steps to mitigate monsoon risks by pruning 22,334 hazardous tree branches. Tree-trimming notices have been issued to 4,909 establishments on private and government properties. With approximately 29.75 lakh trees under its jurisdiction, BMC has emphasized the importance of public cooperation in relocating parked vehicles to facilitate efficient tree-trimming operations.
