In May 2024, Netflix users were treated to a wide range of new and returning shows. This month marked the return of Bridgerton, the soapy romance series that quickly became a hit upon its debut. While Bridgerton was undoubtedly a crowd-pleaser, Bodkin–a true-crime comedy/parody–also managed to captivate audiences. The true-crime documentary Ashley Madison: Sex, Lies & Scandal continues to be one of the most popular shows on Netflix. The only other prominent series to debut in May was Tires, a new sitcom co-created by and starring Shane Gillis. However, this series does not yet rank among the best Netflix original shows.
